Alignment
Alignment means that things should line up. This creates consistency and unifies and organises content
Repetition
Repetition helps things that are alike to look alike, create consistency and help the reader to recognise similar items
Contrast
Contrast helps the items on the page look different from one another and helps the viewer to differentiate more important information from less important information
Proximity
Proximity means that items that are near each other go together. This helps the reader associate related item with each other.
