Chapter Test can be used to evaluate how much the students mastered the chapter material at the end of each chapter.
MAP Test , a grade-level standardized test which is used twice in academic year with first in fall and the second one in winter, is to identify how much students have improved in Math and English skills.
Rallycoach can be used in the middle of lesson. Students get to pair one another and coach each other by showing how to solve the given question. To differentiate 'coaching' vs. 'teaching', the one who explains the question shall not use a writing tool but explanatory words with body language.
Daily Quiz or Entry Ticket based on the previous learning material can be utilized in the beginning of the class for about 5 minutes to help students retaining the knowledge they learned in prior and use for upcoming lesson.
Self Assessment or Exit Ticket at the end of a class can be used to help students a chance to reflect their own learning progress. Questions to pose can be : "What were the learning objective?" "What are the three key topics" "How much do you remember from today's lesson?" and etc. To promote the discussion, students can to timed-pair-share and give each other positive feedback or encouragement.
