there are many countries such as china where a group of people has all the power over the country. this is called a communist party and many times they are very restrictive and oppressive of their citizens.

many cities are settled around some sort of water feature because people that originally settled their hundreds of years ago, needed a very near water source in order to survive
people are often adapted to their environment, buy as technology advances, people are changing the environment around them and it is hurting the earth
environment has a large on how we create our cities. for example, cities that often flood or are near the coast, will built houses on stilts with solid foundation below.
