Stamp Act- The british were taxing the Americans for every thing that was paper. Examples- Cards, Newspapers, books
- The First Continental Congress ratified the First National Constitution, The Articles of Confederation, and in 1789 the country then became governed by the U.S. constitution

The Quartering Act of 1765 required the colonies to house British soldiers in barracks provided by the colonies.
The continuous taxation angered the colonies, causing the Sons Of Liberty to grow, and gain power. This also emboldened them. Eventually they go dump out a million dollars worth, in modern terms, of British tea into the Boston harbor.
The Boston Massacre - Tensions are on the rise in Boston in the winter of 1770. On March 5, a violent confrontation erupts between soldiers and townspeople, leaving five colonist dead.
The Proclamation of 1763 was intended to prevent the outbreak of another costly war like the French and Indian war by preventing further expansion into the contested areas. It was also intended to keep the colonists near the coast.
Laws passed to tighten English reign on colonies upset the colonists because they did not have the freedoms they wanted.
