Cause: GIT infections, peptic ulcer disease or as a side effect of medication.

Dysphagia
Intermittent: Lower esophageal ring, eosinophilic oesophagitis or (rarely) diffuse oesophageal spasm.
Progressive: stricture, carcinoma or achalasia.

Causes: Mechanical Obstruction, Neuromuscular Motility Disorders & Pharyngeal dysphagia
