CONGRUENCE AND SIMILARITY - Coggle Diagram

- - - - if given angle is not an included angle, then SSA may not be a congruence test
    - - just by having corresponding sides do not work as the sides of the triangle may not be equal, and thus is not a valid test for congruence.
- - - - If 2 angles of a triangle are equal to the 2 corresponding angles of another triangle, then the two triangles are similar.

    - - If the 3 ratios of the corresponding sides of the two triangles are equal, then the two triangles are similar.
        
        abbreviation: 3 ratios of corr. sides equal
    - - If the 2 ratios of the corresponding sides of two triangles are equal and the pair of included angle are also equal, then the two triangles are similar.
        
        abbreviation: 2 ratios of corr. sides and included ∠equal
- - - - Order in which the vertices of LMNO are written must correspond to the order in which the vertices of WZYX are written
      - LMNO = WZYX (statement of congruence)
  - - - since there is not standard notation for similarity, we write △ABC is similar to △ADE
      - Order in which the vertices of △ABC are written must correspond to the order in which the vertices of △ADE are written
