According to Makerspaces.com (N.D.), a makerspace is a collaborative space inside any publi/private working area (schools, libraries, etc.) where you can use tech and non-tech tools for making, learning and sharing.
History
According to Clark M. (2014), the makerspace movement started in about 2006. The makerspace we know today started with the creation of MakerMedia and the first Makefire in 20006; this movement was composed of a very few people until Obama said that it would help formal STEM education in 2009.
