increase the flow of saliva by using sugarless chewing gum
use fluoride toothpaste that contains stannous fluoride
- avoid brushing teeth immediately after acid ingestion/vomiting
- recommend the use of soft toothbrushes and dentifrices low in abrasiveness in a gentle manner
- seek medical advice
Restoration
raised of amalgam or composite restoration
the erosion more occur on palatal surfaces of max. ante. and occlusal of post. teeth (for acid reflux)
clean or non tarnished appearance of amalgam restoration
increased incisal translucency
restoration with direct composite/ cast metal crowns/porcelain crowns± increase OVD
diet: juice, wine, pickles,carbonated drink, vinegar and soft drink
industrial; Battery factories that produce acid fumes or droplet
