MODELING OF HEALTH CARE FOR INFORMATION SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT
CASCADE MODEL FOR SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT:
The cascade model is a classic approach in software development that describes a linear and sequential development method.
7 PHASES OF CASCADE MODEL
Software requirements
Analysis
Design
Implementation
Test
Exploitation
System Requirements
CONCEPTUAL MODEL OF PUBLIC HEALTH:
As originally for the Dutch Public Health Status and Forecast Document. The model shows that health status is influenced by factors called determinants. Health policy influences health status indirectly via determinants such as lifestyle or the health care system. Health status also contributes to the direction of health policy. In turn, health status influences the use of health care, which is also subject to the effects of health policy. This entire process is influenced by autonomous developments such as economic development
METHODOLOGY FOR INFORMATION PROCESSING
Bio signal processing
Biomedical signal processing involves the analysis of these measurements to provide useful information upon which clinicians can make decisions.
Pattern Recognition
Pattern recognition is a process of finding regularities and similarities in data using machine learning data.
Bio statistical methods
Statistical methods are mathematical formulas, models, and techniques that are used in statistical analysis of raw research data.
Logical Operations
A logical operation is a special symbol or word that connects two or more phrases of information. It is most often used to test whether a certain relationship between the phrases is true or false.
HOSPITAL INFORMATION MODELS:
•To establish a
common reference
to be used in the assessment of proposals for the development of information systems submitted by different hospitals or hospital groups.
•To determine overlapand
"white spots"
describing the information needs of hospital processes that were or were not (yet) covered by those system development proposals.
•To identify the map of necessary information
flows
text betweencare-delivering processes and other processes, such as for supporting a better architectural design of information systems.
•To achieve
better quality in IRD
at affordable costs by defining a common (or generic) model for information requirements to be used by various hospitals as a sound basis for their local adaptations.
IRD(Information Requirement Determination)
IRD is a set of activities used by a systems analyst when assessing the functionality required in a proposed system.
NOLAN'S GROWTH METHOD:
One of the stages of growth model, helping in the understanding of the role of information systems, in an organization’s strategy and its maturity.
4 PHASES OF NOLAN'S GROWTH MODEL
Expansion or contagion
Formalization or control
Initiation
Maturity or integration
