Learning is a continuous cycle of concrete experiences (Kolb, 2015), applied knowledge (Nilson, 2010) and reflection (Bassot, 2016; 2020), achieved by co-creating new knowledge through social interaction (as in Social Constructivism in Jarvis, 2010) and using past experiences or understanding as comparative reference points for further learning (Mezirow, 2000, as cited in Jarvis, 2010). Meaningful learning happens when you can understand and build the self in relation to others and past experiences (Jarvis, 2010).
