Criminal Law
Criminal law, as distinguished from civil law, is a system of laws concerned with punishment of individuals who commit crimes
Civil Law
the system of law concerned with private relations between members of a community rather than criminal, military, or religious affairs
Seperation of power
the vesting of the legislative, executive, and judiciary powers of government in separate bodies
Preferential voting
voters can indicate an order of preferences for candidates on the ballot paper, i.e. who they want as their 1st choice, 2nd choice and so on.
