Story
Premise
A small game about a couple. The girl is into occult stuff partly as a hobby, partly as a joke. Her boyfriend gets her a gift from a creepy shop, which she uses and accidentally turns him into a wolf. They end up involved in hunting down and destroying monsters/demons
Justifications
The city/gov/whatever is containing rather than killing them due to the extreme effects they produce both in life and in death. The main characters then would cause problems by messing with these things, but may not see the effects for awhile.
Would be cool to have the investigation and hunt phases be specific to each character, but to have a level each where they get changed up suddenly
The girl would investigate, then get caught up needing to fight one of these monsters, getting assisted by her partner maybe?
The wolf would attempt to hunt, find it had bad info, then search for evidence/an escape after becoming trapped.
- Goals prior and post inciting incident, get work in some historical field for the girl maybe? Could justify her spending more time than others outside college instead of partying

Possible Events?
The girl starts to have a sort of split in her soul as the effects of Passion's work and her work with magic through it turn her into Hugin and Munin. Maybe.

Note taking
Tag system
Allows users to add tags to make it easier to search the notebook. However, the computer can also add tags and especially hidden tags based on events in the game.
Hidden tags will be for things the player shouldn't see, but will know the importance of if they are paying attention. Ex. The player is given a job to get an item from a dangerous place, then return back. Upon returning the NPC claims they returned with only one item, as they asked for two. If the player hasn't kept a record they have no proof and so much go back and get other items, but the game will not tell the player that the notes are being checked by this point.
Suppose further that if the player has taken notes, these can be checked for various events such as copy-pasting, time code, place code, dialogue code, and so on.

Metadata
All notes will be recorded with a date, time, place, and any npc's in the conversation/their position in the conversation. Whether the player records any of this may determine if it's used, or to verify the truth to the player's statements. (Might be a bit much for this game, but useful for others)

Functions

Quotes automatically determined with paired quotes and will automatically place marks for date/time and speaker, should the player want to manually create them.
Sort later
Wolf grows as his powers grow. Characters are on a timeline and the wolf becomes less cognizent as time progresses.
At one point he can grow while in the doem at night. Both characters wake up to the sound of him kicking a hole through a wall.
Wolf can ‘step over’ the fourth wall in the isometric view and generally play with the perspective, at least in cutscenes.
