Preparing For Emergencies - Coggle Diagram

- - - - My Dad was involved in a collision with a car while he was riding his bike and was badly Injured (mainly in his upper vertebra), his helmet most likely saved his life but at the same time there was no proper protection available for his back (this is the case with all cyclists at the moment), this was and is an issue because although my Dad is now much better his back is still extremely stiff and he has to do stretches every morning, as well my Dad is expected to have arthurites of the back when he is older, which will have a negative impact on his later life in the way of mobility.
      - People riding motorcycles would probably be more physically injured by a collision because of the speed a motorcycle is normally no more than that of a car on a main road for example, but the rider of the motorcycle is a lot less safe because they are less protected by their vehicle because they have nothing like an airbag (like a car) to break their fall if they do have an accident.
    - - A possible solution to this could be some sort of biking leathers but for non-motorised bicycles as well as motorised bicycles.
- - - - The Police have great difficulty with storing and categorising their equipment when it comes to police patrol cars.
        
        A possible solution could be a device that would provide, easy, safe and secure storage for all of the essential police equipment that needs to be stored in the back of a police response car. The reason that the idea came to me was because my mum said that at work there is no kind of organisation for equipment in police cars at the moment.
      - Police body worn equipment is extremely heavy and cumbersome which means that it is very difficult for a police officer to move quickly when they are chasing a dangerous criminal for example. But at the same time to reduce the weight of the equipment you would have to either drastically increase the cost to the police and subsequently the government by using lighter but more expensive material, or you would have to use lighter but still affordable materials which would then subsequently compromise the integrity of the equipment.
    - - Ambulance service: The ambulance service have just received need and improved Ambulances that are faster than the older model, but are also less well ventilated because the newer model has removed the ability to open the windows in the back of the ambulance, there could be multiple ways of combatting this, for example I could design new more ventilated uniforms for paramedics, or I could look into designing a small but yet compact fan.
