the government is the party that has the majority of seats in the house of representatives. the commonwealth The Commonwealth Parliament includes both houses of parliament as well as the Governor General, who is the Queen’s representative in Australia.The Governor-General is appointed by the Queen on the advice of the Prime Minister. The Governor-General performs many duties such as appointing ambassadors, ministers and judges and also approves laws passed by both houses of parliament.
