Democracy
A system of government run by the people, for the people
Respect
Treating other with consideration and valuing their views, beliefs and rights
Equality
Rights and privileges for all, without discrimination based on their gender, orientation, race, religion, age or level of education.
Fairness
All people treated fairly, or without justice, and given an equal opportunity
The Westminster System
A parliament system consisting of two chamber of houses, that is elected by the people to make laws on their behalf.

Good citizens contribute or take part in society through activities such as voting in an election or referendum.

Parliament
The Parliament make and amends law. Parliament is made up of the Queen (Governor-General), the Senate and the House of Representatives
Executive
The Executive put the law in action. Is made up of the Governor-General, Prime Minister and Ministers
Judiciary
The Judiciary makes judgements about the law. Is made up of the High Court of Australia and other federal courts.
