predicting outcome
- activity that learners carry out before reading or listening to a text.

synthesising
- a combination, a shortened version of several texts made into one
- contains the important points in the text and is written in own words.
cause and effect
- a series of facts with implied connections rather than clearly stated ones
summarising
- a synthesis of the key ideas of a piece of writing, restated in someone own words.
drawing conclusion
- decide something or make a judgement after careful consideration facts and opinions presented
