inflammation + proliferation of connective tissue in periorbital space = proliferation = exopthalmos/proptosis

increased expression of beta-adrenergic receptors = tremor + increased HR + increased cardiac output + permissive for catecholamines = increased sympathetic activation

Vitals: higher body temp (thermogenesis); high normal resp rate (increased cellular metabolism = increased CO2 production = increased RR); high HR (see above)
increased BMR = increased thermogenesis = increased body temp = increased heat sensitivity + sweaty/warm skin

GP presentation: GP should do a risk assessment for potential domestic/emotional violence or abuse.......if there is suspicion, first step is to provide an opening for the patient to talk about it and determine whether they are open to speaking about it...
