Probability can also be assigned a percentage using percentile rank. When referencing a percentile rank, it is known as the percentile. For example: Scoring in the top 90th percentile on the SAT's indicates that only 10% of test takers scored better.
The probability of any specific outcome is defined as a fraction or a proportion of all of the possible outcomes.
