        The relationship is generally marked by a coordinating bond (or nexus) called a coordinating conjunction. The presence of the link in the explicit syntactic structure is not essential for there to be coordination.

      - Sentence composed by subordination
        They lack meaning by themselves, are incomprehensible and are incorporated into another sentence, called the main sentence, on which they depend and to which they are linked by means of subordinating conjunctions.
        The main one is the one that makes sense on its own. The subordinate, consequently, assumes the same role with respect to the former as the one played by the syntactic elements in the simple sentence, that is, they can be equivalent to a noun, an adjective or an adverb.
        In general it can be said that all subordination supposes that the element added to the statement does not have the same syntactic function as the element with which it is connected.
        
        At the syntagm level, examples such as Wooden bench can be given. The preposition of is the connecting element between both parties.
        At the sentence level, subordinate propositions exercise the function of Noun: She believes that she will not return, where she believes is the main sentence and that she will not return is a substantive subordinate sentence that exercises the function of direct object;
        Adjective: The postman who brings the package is very friendly, where the postman is very friendly is the main sentence, and who brings the package is an adjective subordinate clause that could be replaced by an adjective;
        Adverb: She comes to fix the car, where she comes is the main sentence and to fix the car is an adverbial subordinate within the main.

- - - - Adversive sentences
        These propositions express disagreement and opposition between two judgments.
        
        I studied little, however I passed.
        I called you on the phone, but no one answered.
        He did not paint the desk, but instead made a new one.
        Adversative coordination can be divided into:
        • Partial or restrictive
        • Total or exclusive.
        It is partial or restrictive when the second judgment only indicates a restriction or limitation of the first.
        I went to the theater, but couldn't get in. Those sisters are twins, but they are very different. We had agreed to this, however no one complied.
        
        CONNECTIVES: But, more, however, although, nevertheless, with everything, however, except, except, less, outside, otherwise. It is total or exclusive when the second trial excludes or annuls the first.

        When modifying a noun, the adjective proposition can do it in two ways: determining the noun or not determining it.
        Examples:

        Explanatory: The defenders, who behaved bravely, were rewarded.
        Adverbial subordinate:
        The main function they perform is circumstantial. They can also act as a modifier for an adjective.
        Adverbial propositions are joined to the main proposition by means of: Subjunctions, subjunctive phrases.
        
        The types of adverbial subordinate propositions are:
        Adverbial of place: The subordinate indicates place where, place where, etc.
        The links are where, where, where, from where. Example: I will go where they send me.
        Adverbial of time: The subordinate indicates circumstance of time. The links are: when, while, as soon as, etc. Ex .: When I woke up it was raining. Whistle while you work.
        Adverbial mode: The subordinate indicates the way in which what is indicated in the main proposition is carried out or carried out. The links are like, according to, as if. Eg: I tell it like they told me.
        Adverbial of quantity: The subordinate indicates quantity. They may have a comparative nuance. The links are: how much and how. Eg: travel as much as you want. travel as much as you want.
        Adverbial conditional: The subordinate expresses a necessary condition for what is said in the main proposition to be fulfilled. The links are: if, whenever, with what, provided, with only that. Eg: He will show you the photos if you come to his party. Whenever I can, I will help you. You can go to the party, as long as you come back soon.
        Adverbial concessive: the subordinate expresses a difficulty or obstacle that does not prevent what is said in the main proposition from being fulfilled .. The links are: although, even when, although, despite the fact that, no matter how much. Example: I will make the trip even if I don't have money. He went to class even when he was sick. As much as I read it, I don't understand it.
        Consecutive adverbial: They express the result, effect or consequence of what was said above in the main proposition.
        Adverbial causal: The subordinate expresses the cause of what is said in the main one. The links are: because, like, since, well, since, since, that. Example: He paints very well because he has a very good hand. As it rains, it will not go. The harvest will be good, since it has rained a lot.
        Comparative adverb: The subordinate establishes a relationship of superiority, equality or inferiority with respect to an action or a quality expressed in the main proposition. The verb is usually understood.

        Final adverb: The subordinate expresses purpose. The links are: so that, in order that, with a view to, etc. Eg: Close the windows so there is no current. I went to class so they wouldn't miss me.
- - - - With preposition. Like the locatives -and like the locative and temporal adverbs-, the adverbial subordinates with when can be a prepositional term:
        She has liked to read since when she was a child - She has liked to read since then.
        The adverbial sentences of time perform the functions of circumstantial complement and, whenever they are isolated by pauses, of sentence complement:
        Call me when you arrive . CCT
        When I woke up you were already gone. Cor.
    - - Modal adverbial subordinates
        The adverbial subordinates of mode are introduced mainly by the relative adverb like, although there are other subordinators, for example, the adverbs according to and according and the locution such and as. They are substitutable for the modal adverb as well.
        Sometimes the adverb como and the conjunction si are grouped to introduce the subordinate as if: He acts as if he didn't care about anything.
        This is the construction usually called HYPOTHETICAL MODAL, which has to be explained as a double subordination with a verb elided because it is the same as the main one:
        He acts like (he would act) if he didn't care about anything ,
        Where we find a modal adverbial subordinate (how it would act ...) complemented by a conditional subordinate (if nothing mattered to you).
