CONSTITUTION
ARTICLE 4 (1) FEDERAL CONSTITUTION
- “Constitution is the supreme law of the Federation & any law passed after Merdeka Day which is inconsistent with this constitution shall to the extent of inconsistency be void.”
WHAT IS A “CONSTITUTION”
A set of rules which determines among others the manner the institutions are to be set up, the powers to be distributed and the justice to be administered.
The Federal Constitution is the Supreme law of the land i.e. a “higher law” which is used as a yardstick to measure the validity of all other laws made after Merdeka Day. Any law that is inconsistence with the Constitution invalid and void.
