C. PRIVATE LAW
The law which govern the rights and obligations of individuals
TRUST LAW
The relationship which arises wherever a person is compelled to hold property (Trustee) for the benefit of a person ( beneficiary ) .This is to enable property to be held for persons who cannot hold the legal title themselves example minor cannot be the legal owner of land but land can be held in trust for a minor .

CONTRACT LAW
An agreement made between two or more persons which is enforceable with an intention to create legal relation.
The elements of contract are

THE LAW OF TORTS
The law of torts regulates the infringement of legal rights and the breach of duties prescribed by law . Where a person suffers unlawful harm or damages at the hands of another an action in tort generally lies for compensation (unliquidated damages).
The elements of torts are an act or conduct done intentionally damages or injury
LAW OF SUCCESSION
The law which determines the distribution of property on the death of an owner such as the identification of persons who may succeed to the property under a will or an intestacy
LAND LAW
The law which determines the nature and extent of the rights which people may enjoy over land and property - for examples rights of ownership of land or rights under a mortgage or a lease .
