FUTURE
Future continuous
To indicate actions that will occur in the future and will continue for an expected length of time.
"She will be visiting her family for a week."
Future perfect
To talk about an action that will be completed between now and some point in the future.
"They will have completed their career by the end of the year."
Future simple
To predict a future event
"It will rain in the afternoon."
PAST
Past continuous
To indicate a continuing action that was happening at some point in the past.
"Yesterday, during the afternoon I was reading a book."
Past perfect
To indicate that one event happened before another in the past.
" I had eaten the pizza when my family got home."
Past simple
To talk about actions that started and finished in the past.
