Value
The value in the story is generosity because all the people in the village had each other. For example, the poor boy gave the stick to the old woman so she could cook and she thanked the boy giving him some bread.
Problem
The poor woman only had enough money to buy a few things, and her son always wanted a drum, but she could not buy it.
Setting
The story was setted in a field with a river and a lot of trees, it was near to the village where was a market. Here all the people help each other without any expectation.
