- Enforced by the department of occupational safety and health
- To co-operate with his employer or any other person in the discharge of any duty

- To provide protection to worker who may be involved in accident at work or who contract some occupational
- For employees in the private sector who earns less than RM4000 per month
- An employee must be registered with the SOCSO irrespective of the age

- Epf covers all employees in Malaysia 16 years and above
- Before 1 august 1998 foreign workers are not compulsory to contribute epf
- After 1 august 1998 foreign workers who earns rm2000 per month must contribute epf
