Phytohormones - Coggle Diagram
Phytohormones
1.Auxin (IAA)
Production sites: in stem, buds and root tips
Function: -stimulates stem and coleoptile elongation (low concentration only). -regulates development of fruit
2.Cytokinin
Production sites: in growing areas, meristems at tip of the shoot
-
3.Gibberellin (GA)
-
Function: -promote fruit growth -regulate sex determination and the transition from juvenile to adult phase
4.Abscisic acid (ABA)
-
Function: promotes stomatal closure during drought stress -promotes seed dormancy and inhabits early germination
-
6.Brassinosteroids
Function: promote of elongation, stimulate flowering, promote cell division, can affect tropic curvature
7.Jasmonates
Function: Involved in response to environmental stresses, control germination of seeds
8.Strigolactones
Function: promote seed germination, control of apical dominance, and the attraction of mycorrhizal fungi to the root
