Step 1: Student is identified as Struggling

Step 2: Student is flagged for attention/follow up from the SEN department. Testing or Observations are conducted.
Eligibility for Services is detected
Step 4: Beneficial services and/or adaptions are summarized and presented to the parents for consent.
Step 5: Consent is given by parents.
Step 6: Formal IEP is created and adaptions are established.
Step 7: Meeting will be held with applicable teachers and staff to update them on IEP and inform them on how to implement it.
Step 8: Team involved with the student and their family should meet each term to review IEP and student's process.

When appropriate suggest additional testing or external providers to parents.
Parents do not give consent.
SEN department and teachers meet to create plan to accommodate child's struggles without formal interventions.
When possible get the student's input on goals and areas they would like to improve on.
No continued services are needed. Monitor and document as needed.
Observations should be conducted by Special Education specialist, Psychologist, or Psychiatrist.
