Angora wool obtained from angora goats, found in hilly regions such as Jammu and Kashmir. The under fur of Kashmiri goat is soft. It is woven into fine shawls called Pashmina shawls.

Llama and Alpaca, found in South America, also yield wool.

Sheep- Sheep are herbivores and eat mainly leaves and grass.The largest numbers of sheep are in Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Wool is an animal fibre. It is present as a thick coat of hair on the body of certain animals to keep them warm. That is why we wear woolens in winter.
