Medications:
Amlodipine
Instructions: 10mg QD(Calcium Channel Blocker)
Use: Lowers Blood pressure. Monitor BP closely.
Side effects: swelling of the hands, feet, or lower legs, Headache, and upset stomach
Adverse effects: Hypotension and Chest pain
Cholecalciferol
Instructions: 5000 IU QD
Use: (Vitamin D3 which aids in calcium absorption)
Side effects: Cough, difficulty swallowing, and
fast heartbeat
Adverse effects: Vitamin D overdose and Chest pain.
Dexamethasone
Instructions: 2mg BID
Use: Glucocorticosteroid Monitor CBC
Side effects: Increased appetite, Irritability, and Insomnia
Adverse effects: Monitor for muscle weakness and cataracts
Hydralazine
Instructions: 25mg TID
Use: Vasodilator, monitor blood pressure closely
Side effects: headache, upset stomach, and vomiting.
Adverse effects: Hypotension and Chest pain
Hydrochlorothiazide
Instructions: 12.5 mg QD
Use: Diuretic, Monitor HR and BP
Side effects: Dizziness, headache and weakness
Adverse effects: shortness of breath and abnormal heart rate or chest pain
Keppra
Instructions: 500mg BID
Use: Anticonvulsant,
Side effects: monitor for seizure activity, confusion, hallucinations,
or loss of balance or coordination,
Adverse effects:Depersonalization, and anemia
