Communication
Verbal
: Communicating by way of a spoken language.
Nonverbal
: Communicating by way of body language, facial expressions and vocalics.

: Communicating by way of written language, symbols and numbers.

: Communication by way of photography, art, drawings, sketches, charts and graphs
Socialization
Gender socialization is the recognition of gender norms that occurs through both active teaching (“Boys don’t wear pink!”) and more subtle, passive observation,
such as noticing that more men enter the field of engineering than do women. Gender socialization has been criticized by many feminists and sociologists as an unnecessary process that serves to limit the life options of both boys and girls.
Primary socialization occurs early in a child’s life and is primarily due to the influence of family and close friends.
Through primary socialization, a child learns basic societal norms and customs. Toilet training is an example of primary socialization.
Anticipatory socialization is the process of rehearsing an event before it occurs
. For example, role-playing an interaction with a friend or rehearsing for a job interview are examples of anticipatory socialization

Communication plays a vital role in human life.
It helps facilitate the exchange of information and knowledge, and develop relationships with others. Therefore, the importance of communication skills in our day-to-day life cannot be underestimated.
Communication and socialization skills are an essential leadership function and a major characteristic of a good leader.
Communication and socialization skills and effective leadership styles are closely intertwined. Lack of communication and socialization skills can make team members uncomfortable and unenthusiastic about their work while good communication and socialization skills help a team work together to achieve the desired goals.
Socializing not only staves off feelings of loneliness, but also it helps sharpen memory and cognitive skills
, increases your sense of happiness and well-being, and may even help you live longer
Why is it important?
Socialization is very important for children, who begin the process at home with family, and continue it at school
. They are taught what will be expected of them as they mature and become full members of society. Socialization is also important for adults who join new social groups. Broadly defined, it is the process of transferring norms, values, beliefs, and behaviors to future group members.
The family is one of the most important parts of socialization for children
, because, their first contact is with family, and for the first few years of life children interact mostly with family. Children learn their values, norms, and beliefs from their family.
Social interaction is essential to every aspect of our health
. Research shows that having a strong network of support or strong community bonds fosters both emotional and physical health and is an important component of adult life
Communicating helps people to express their ideas and feelings, and it, at the same time, helps us to understand emotion and thoughts of the others
. As a result, we will develop affection or hatred toward other people, and positive or negative relationships will be created
