purposeful and organized mental activity that helps you understand ideas, solve problems and make decisions

abstract thinking
thinkers pay attention to the hidden meanings behind thigs relating them to other items, events or experiences
observe things as theories or possibilities
ability to understand concepts that are real, such as freedom or respect but not directly focus to physical objects and experiences
divergent thinking
mindset takes the path of exploring an infinite number of solutions to find one that is effective
reach out to all possibilities
a process of creating multiple, unique possibilities or ideas to find an appropriate solution to a problem that you are trying to solve
concrete thinking
thinkers prefer to think, comprehened and apply factual knowledge
a literal form of thinking that reasoning focuses on the immediate experiences, physical objects and exact interpretations
approach everything with facts, data and solid knowledge
convergent thinking
target possibilities or converge them inwards to come up with a solution
best the best possible solutions
a process of combining a finite number of perspectives or ideas to find a single solution
analytical thinking
process to analyse a given problem or situation step by step
applied in developing programs, improving products, relational issues, identifying audience, client needs
ability to identify and define problems in order to test and verify the cause of the problem and develop solutions to resolve the problems identified

realistic: the perfect problem-solvers
quick on their feet and they do whatever it takes to solve the problem at hand
benefited from taking a step back and looking at a problem from different angles
should take some time to gather all the information that is available for them and find the best solution
pragmatists: the logical thinkers
people who take prompt action and don't like to waste any time
focusing on getting things done but they are not interested in understanding the big picture like idealists
focus on immediate results that considering what's best in the short term rather than think long term
benefited form taking a step back ad reflecting on big ideas
analysts: the rational intellectuals
work methodically as they gather all of the facts and data, measuring and categorizing along the way
always looking for a formula or outlined procedure for solving problems
individuals tend to share ideas but should open their minds as other ideas offer unique value
idealists: the goal-setters
future-oriented, value teamwork and expect everyone to work hard
view them as perfectionists
tend to set high standards and are always working toward big goals
synthesists - the creative thinkers
define by their creative and curious nature
stand out with their creativity and curiosity
