- - - - most abundant cells
      - spherical biconcave and non-neucleated
      - contain respiratory pigment- heamoglobin
      - main function transportation of oxygen and materials
      - increase in RBCs- polycethemia
      - decrease in RBCs- anemia
      - lifespan of RBCs is 120 days
      - spleen is called the graveyard of RBCs
      - process of destruction is haemolysis
      - spleen stores huge amount of RBCs so it's the blood bank of body

      - lymphocytes- produces antibodies
      - monocytes- these are horsh shoe shaped cellls and provides immunity
    - - consist of irregular neucleus devided into 2-5 lobes
      - basophils- trilobed, acts as anticogulant
      - esinophylls- bilobed, plays an important role in immunity
      - neutrophils- multilobed, helps in engulfing foreign particles
