FOREIGN POLICY PART 2
-
-
NATURE OF FOREIGN POLICY DURING HENRY'S DIVORCE.
- Henry was literally launching an attack on the Pope by criticising his decision to provide a dispensation for Catherine to marry Henry.
- By creating the Church of England and removing the Pope as Head of the Church, Henry was challenging the authority of the Roman Catholic Church, which was extremely popular
- This left him open to attack & isolation.
