jesus- god's son, son of mary, gave his life on the cross (crucifixion), god revealed himself in christ

paul of tarsus- also known as St. Paul, Paul the apostle; originally a jew named saul who persecuted jesus as jesus claimed to be the messiah; a bright light flashed a jesus came to saul and told him to go to the city and he'll be told what to do. Saul went to the city and met three disciples, who told him that jesus wanted him to b eleive and to be baptized. the disciple baptized saul and he regained his sight. Saul traveled and preached about jesus being the son of god and that people should believe in him. People began calling him Paul as a sign of his new life received from christ.
john the baptist- jewish prophet that preached god's imminence and baptized those who repented in preparation for god's judgement
mary- mother of christ, roman catholics doctrine of assumption teaches that mary was directly taken physically and spiritually into heaven to live with her son jesus as her soul was not tained by original sin
original sin- part of an augustine christian doctrine that states everyone is born sinful; explains the evils in the world, the only way to be saved is through the grace of god
