CABLE IDENTIFICATION - Coggle Diagram
CABLE IDENTIFICATION
GENERAL
the identification of the cables are based on several items:
insulating material
voltage system
cable sizing and core
technical specification characteristics of the cable
CABLE AMPACITY
current carrying capacity or ampacity of power cables is affected by the following factors:
cable laying information
depths of installation
method of installation:
ducts
direct burried
cable tray
medium in which it is installed:
soil thermal resistivity
backfilling material
ambient temperature
proximity effects from neighboring cables
XLPE 1C 33KV
TNB distribution division uses the XLPE 1C 33KV 630mm^2 capacity of approximately 30MVA as interconnectors between PPUs and/or SSUs.
XLPE 1C 11KV
TND distribution division uses the XLPE 1C 11KV 500mm^2 cables with a capacity of approximately 10MVA as interconnectors between 132/11kv transmission main intakes (PMU) to 11kv main switching stations (SSU) and between SSUs.
EXAMPLE
technical specifications for a 33kv XLPE insulated:
single core cable with 630mm^2 cross sectional area, aluminum core conductor, and copper wire screen & polyethylene is described as:
33kv, XLPE, 1C, 630mm^2, Al, SCW, MDPE
