Culture
achievements :check:
-The weimar constitution allowed free expression of ideas
-Writers and poets flourished
-Artists in weimar tried to represent the reality in every day
-Some artists produced powerful paintings which criticised politicians and business church and army leaders of the weimar period
-The 1920 was the golden age for german cinema

-Germany citizens said the culture of the cities represented moral decline.
-This was worse when American inmigrants and Jewish artists and musicians came.
-Also a group of people were part of the Wandervogel that rected to the Weimar culture that wanted the return to simple country values.
Economy
achievements :check:
-Stressman rebuilt Germany´s prosperity.
-Using the DAWES PLAN reparations payments were spread over a longer period.
-Industry seemed to have recovered,and with all of this export increased.

-Germany had loans from the USA which could caused ruin.
-Concerns of unemlpyement began to rise.
-People began to think that the Weimar Government offered them little.
Foreign policy
achievements :check:
-He signed the Locarno Treaties
-Germany was accepted into the league of nations
-Stresmann began to work over the terms of the treaty
-He negocieted the Young Plan

-Nationalists attacked Stresemann for joining the League
-Also attacked for signing the locarno pact because it meant that they accepted the treaty of versailles
-Communists also attacked Locarno seeing him part of a plot against the communists in USSR
Politics
Achievements :check:
-no more attempted revolutions after 1923, the republic was begging to settle.
Parties that supported the democracy did well in this years.
Many parties like parties that had been in the revolution like the socialists the catholic centre party, the DDP, and the DVP worked well together during this time.
Problems :red_cross:
-Nazis and communists were building up their party organization.
-The right wing nationalist party and the nazis began to collaborate closely and, made themselves appear respectable.
More than 30% of votes were against the republic.
-The new president, Hindenburg, opposed to democracy and supported the Kaiser, who was in exile. He even wrote to him for approval.
