When?
At Work
Depending on your work, preparing for emergencies would be different, but the same issues might arise in every situation. For Instance, accessibility for disabled workers could lead to issues with mobilities
Accessability
Crowding
No equipment or funding for support of disabled workers.
At home
At home, issues could arise if you are focused or asleep, and with disabilities, you are less likely to resolve it quickly.
Especially because of this, this can stop disabled people from preparing for emergencies.
At a Public event
Sports Ground
In certain sports grounds, due to how seating is formed, this can cause issues when emergencies rise, for instance, people with big wheelchairs could block crucial exits, that could cause loss of easily preventable lives.
Concert
In many concerts, it is inclosed, which means that people are unable to get to safety easily, therefore, this can lead to preventable deaths.
Attraction Park
In many Attraction parks, there is not much accessibility for disabled people and they are stopped from riding on certain attractions due to health and safety concerns.
In public places
Parks
In parks, many pathways are short and inaccessible for people with wheelchairs or crutches. Furthermore, these indirect exclusions affect them mentally as it makes them feel less.
Sports Parks
In sports parks, many disabilities would disallow sports because it stops them from participating, this could arise issues mentally as being excluded would arise to depression.
Because of this, this leads to people with disabilities ot be not very fit, therefore can cause preventable deaths.
Swimming Centres
In various swimming centres, there is not much to help the disabled to swim, such as teaching or even accessibility.
Shopping Centres
In shopping centers, people with disabilities would find it hard to move around, especially if these shopping centers have multiple stories, making it hard to traverse unless there are safe alternatives such as lifts.
Furthermore, this can cause issues in the future, in extreme situations.
Why?
To support
People who are unable to live without support
On the other hand, different careers have permanent roles of keeping vulnerable people safe and eased by helping them in every aspect of life, this includes from washing them and clothing them, to helping them drink and consume food.
Caring for people before they die
In the last few weeks or days of life; it is easier for people to be at eased by supporters. This stops any mental breakdowns and allows grieving family to be guilt-free knowing that there was no suffering
Medication Checking and Timing
Carers who provide support to vulnerable people can support by taking care of their important medications. This allows them to be up-to-date on their medications.
To assist
Help Troubled People
Support Mental issues
Mental issues can cause harm to the person who is greatly affected by it. For instance, schizophrenics could have mentally damaging consequences due to their hallucinations. This could cause emotional issues which could lead to depression.
People who need help with tasks
People who are unable to do simple tasks for whatever reason could feel worthless and insecure due to the fact that they are unable to help themselves. This could make them feel that they are a burden on others.
Stress
Stress is a normal human reaction that happens to everyone. In fact, the human body is designed to experience stress and react to it. For instance, when you experience changes or challenges (stressors), your body produces a physical and mental response. That is stress
To ease
Easy Accessability
Wheelchair
People who use Wheelchairs will find it hard to move. In emergencies, it would be worse as they are slow.
Crutches
People with Crutches would have it hard to move around like Wheelchair would have issues which could limit movement.
Artificial Limbs
People with artificial limbs could find it hard to adapt to the different adaptations. This could lead to them feeling out-of-place.
