NOSE & NASAL CAVITY
The nose hair and mucus filters the air as we breath
LARYNX
This is also known as the Voice Box
BRONCHI
Two primary divisions of the trachea.
BRONCHIOLES
Smaller branches of the bronchi inside the lungs. Delivers air to the alveoli
LUNGS
Where bronchioles and alveoli are located.
ALVEOLI
Site of gas exchange. Also called air sacs. End of respiratory tract
PHARYNX/ THROAT
Brings air, water and food to where they are suppose to go
TRACHEA
Located under the Larynx. It is also known as the windpipe
DIAPHRAGM
Contracts and flattens when you inhale. Creates vacuum effect that pulls air into the lungs
