Formative
Definition: Formative assessment is a range of formal and informal assessment procedures that is conducted by teachers during the learning process to help modify teaching and learning activities to improve student attainment.

End of Semester Test: A test given at the end of the semester covering everything that was taught throughout the semester.
Chapter Test: A test given at the end of the chapter to check the student's learning outcome for that chapter.
Diagnostic
Definition: Diagnostic assessment is type of assessment taken as pre-assessment to help understand the students strengths and/or weaknesses, as well as identifying any misconceptions. This assessment helps adjust the teachers lessons moving forward in order to meet the students needs.

Word List Reading: A list of vocabulary words for the unit are given, and help the teacher understand the student's knowledge of these words.
Performance
Definition: Performance assessment is an assessment different from the others. This type of assessment requires the students to perform a task, rather than answering questions such as in a regular test.
Group Project: Students work together on a project collaboratively, and will be turned in for a grade together.
Journals: Students would write in their journals periodically, and be taken as a grade throughout the 6 weeks.
