Formative
Definition:observe student learning to providing ongoing feedback that teachers can use to improve their teaching allowing students to improve their outcome in what they are learning.
Padlet: Students will look at a food web get on paddle and answer the following questions 1. Name all the producers in the food web. 2. Define an herbivore an name two from the food web. 3. Identify a carnivore for the food web.

Interim/Benchmark
Definition:Analysis of students learning growth and progress that is used to determine if the students are on route to perform well on future assessments
Common Assessments: Social Studies common assessments measure the students knowledge in reading maps, culture, world and U.S history, landforms, and climate depending on the students grade level.
MAP:Used in the beginning, middle and end of the year. Measures students growth and development in reading and math.
Summative
Definition:Used to assess students at the end of a unit. Summative assessments are sometimes high stakes meaning they have a high point value.
Paper: Students will write an essay to summarize in their own words what they learned from the unit.
Final Project Students will complete a BIOGRAPHY over a person who has made an impact in the world with the five characteristics of a BIOGRAPHY (TIMELINE, TURE FACTS, THIRD PERSON, CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER,GIVE INFORMATION OVER A PERSONS LIFE.
Performance
Definition: Students are required to perform a task compared to answering questions from a ready-made exam.
Develop a procedural text on how to make a piñata and switch with a peer so they can follow your procedural text and make the piñata.

Diagnositc
Definition: Different varies of assessments tasks that are used to help dictate students level of skills, knowledge, and understanding of a content at the beginning of a unit, course, or grade level. Doing this will support the teacher to meet the students needs and adjust and adapt the lesson to support the students needs.
KWL CHARTS: Students write what the know about the content before being taught in the K section. They will write what they want to know during thel lesson in the section and in the L section after the lesson students will write what they have learned.
Pre-Tests: Studnets will be evaluated on the mastery in the skills that will be taught during a lesson/unit.
