2021 Subject Selection, References, History Teacher process and viability,…
2021 Subject Selection
Interests
History (Honestly the strongest candidate here to build on, not necessarily because I harbour a particularly strong passion but because my other "interests" are weaker)
Pedagogy/Psychology? (I read like a single book on critical thinking and am a bit curious. Maybe this will blossom into a passion, who knows)
Game development? (Not specifically keen on art, music or programming however so uhhh, perhaps not a very practical choice)

Potential Careers?
History Teacher (only glaring limitation is how I'm not currently doing history in school, would that bar me from studying the relevant undergraduate course(s) necessary in university?
Historian (Very big brain academic, maybe too ambitious)
Author? (very likely not, don't think superficial satire would be a very lucrative genre)
Game developer? (I can force myself to learn to program, hoping that there is only an initial difficulty curve and that I can become proficient in time. Not currently doing anything related at school which is a limitation)
Teacher (in anything else) I am currently doing well in chemistry, I can focus on doing well there and achieving a major in that. From what I know, teachers as a profession will be growing in the future *must corroborate

Disclaimer: I have like almost no prior knowledge regarding how university and employment functions so even though this is my attempt to do in depth research, I may miss key nuances. Can't help that, we all got to start somewhere

Potential Big Issue: as I am studying the SACE, will I be barred from taking any courses with prerequisites involving the HSC in NSW? (Luckily some of the courses accept "state equivalents" oh yeah yeah)
