Assessments
1.Formative Assessment
Definition: An assessment that measures the student's minor learning in things like comprehension. The teacher can also measure the student's academic progress The teacher can also provide feedback on the student's work. Depending on the assessment results the teacher can determine the next step in the next lesson on how to teach it or the needs of the student.
Examples of Formative Assessment:1.Exit Ticket, after a lesson the students will write down three things they learned and on thing that is still confusing to them. 2.Students can turn in a concept map like a bubble map that will describe the main idea of the lesson or story.

Definition: An evaluation of the students learning at the end of a unit and comparing their learning to standardized test like Benchmarks.

Examples: A midterm exam, project, District Benchmark

3.Diagnostics
Definition: Measures the student's achievement and learning gaps. These are usually done on the first day of class or right at the begging of a course
Examples: a Text book pre-course test, a running record
4.Interim/Benchmark
Definition: Measures the progress towards an academic or standard goal these are given wither quarterly or as much as once a month.
Examples: Chapter test, a project with a rubric scoring, and extended essay.
Definition: Students are required to use their higher level thinking skills to create solutions to problems and questions
Examples: A lab experiment. writing a critical analysis, inventing one or more method to solve a problem.
