His first victim was a hitchhiker named Steve Hicks who he took home, got drunk and killed

Dahmer would seek out men at various locations and would take them home, drug them and kill them

He would defile the dead bodies and often keep body parts, like skulls or genitals, as souvenirs

He would also take various pictures during the process

The police found Tracy Edwards wandering on the street with handcuffs on who said that a man had drugged and restrained him

Jefferey Dahmer was arrested on July 22, 1991

Dahmer initially pleaded not guilty to all the charges even though he had already confessed

The prosecution proved that Dahmer was not insane and the acts committed were evil

He changer his plea to guilty with the defense of insanity
