Different age groups e.g. Young Children 0-10, Children 11-15, Young Adults 16-24, Adults 25-50, Over 50's, Physically Inactive people

Performance Pyramid
- Foundation ~ Beginners in sport, contains mostly young people who don't have much experience and developing basic skills and movements.
- Participation ~ Individuals who participate in sport regularly, for enjoyment, become part of a team or local club.
- Excellence ~ Individuals who obtain excellence in there sport are at the peak of the pyramid, this stage is for elite performance who may partake in international competition.
Talent ID ~ is the prediction of future performance based on a current physical, technical, tactical and psychological qualities. Different sports will place trails for athletes to compete various fitness test to complete an overall individual talent ID.
Possible Measures
- Levels of Participation ~ Nationally and different areas across the country, different ports, different levels of the continuum.
- Impact on Society ~ In context to various policies such as obesity, crime and education.
- Levels of Performance ~ Youth groups and professional athletes on the international stage.

SPORTS DEVELOPMENT - Is the promotion of sports activities for the community. Successful sports development depends on partnerships with a range of community groups/providers; facility operators, NGB'S, local authorities and voluntary groups.
