Central Nervous System: two parts; brain and spinal cord, controls body movements and most of the functions of the mind and body.
Brain: receives and processes sensory information, initiates responses, stores memories generated thoughts and emotions.
Afferent (sensory) system convey information from receptors to the central nervous system.
Spinal Cord : conducts signals to and from the brain, controls reflex activities.
Efferent (motor) system conveys information from the central nervous system to muscles and glands
