EVIDENCE- the information gathering from historical sources

CAUSE AND EFFECT
- cause and effect aims to identify the reason why events have occurred and the resulting consequences from it.
PERSPECTIVE
- a point of view the position from which people see.
CONTINUITY AND CHANGE
- historian recognise that over time some things stay the same while others change.

EMPATHY
- is the ability to walk in someone else's shoes- to be aware of and sensitive to, their feeling thoughts, and experiences.
SIGNIFICANCE
- relates to the importance assigned to aspects of the past, such as events, discoveries.

-also known as the German invasion of the Soviet Union was the code name for the invasion of the Soviet Union by Nazi Germany and some of its Axis allies, which started on Sunday, 22 June 1941, during World War II.

THE GREAT DEPRESION
Germany was one of the most affected nations.

-fall in the standard livings.

workers went on strike, Germany's currency depreciated in value and economy suffered.

THE NAZI PARTY
-
The National Socialist German Workers’ Party, or Nazi Party, grew into a mass movement and ruled Germany through totalitarian means from 1933 to 1945 under the leadership of Adolf Hitler
After Germany’s defeat in World War II (1939-45), the Nazi Party was outlawed and many of its top officials were convicted of war crimes related to the murder of some 6 million European Jews during the Holocaust.

ROARING 20'S
WW1 ended i 1918.
- in the 1920's Germany suffered economic downfall as they struggled to meet the terms of the treaty.

POLICY OF APPEASEMENT
A term given to the United Kingdom and France policy of allowing Germany to break the TOV as it was considered harsh.
THE CONDITIONS
- the conditions were Germany had to give up land to neighbours to pay back the damages from ww1.
- Allowing Germany to break the Treaty Hitler came into power and immediately began the re build of German military.

WOMAN'S ROLE IN EUROPE
-BEFORE: A womans role in Europe before ware was taking care of the family at home cooking, cleaning waiting for her husband to return home. They were not permitted to work "men jobs".
-The start of war men where needed at war and where shipped out the the place of war.
-Jobs opened up at towns so employment was needed.
-Woman decided to ask to work at the jobs that were needed.
-They thought that cleaning at a job was better then at home.
-AFTER: Woman became normalized to working in the work place and became in powered.
