Chennai and Odisha don't receive too much rainfall as they are not effected by the South West Monsoon Winds as they are in the rainshadow of the western ghats
The middle Ganga Plains don't get lots of rain as the SW winds of the bay of Bengal branch, which mainly affect this region, has already shed a lot of its rain
Madhya Pradesh is a landlocked state
East Maharashtra is in the rainshadow of the Westers Ghats
