Cartilage
Hard, elastic tissue that is softer than bone.
Its matrix is solid but elastic due to the presence of a type of protein called 'chondrin'.
Due to the presence of chondrin in cartilage, we can bend a cartilage but not a bone.
Smoothens the bone surfaces at joints and found in areas such as larynx, trachea, ear, nose etc.
