Formative
Exit Ticket: Students answer a few questions after a lesson to assess knowledge acquired after instruction. Exit ticket can be a few questions, one question, or a summary of what they students learned.
Concept maps/mind maps: Students fill out concept maps or mind maps to represent their understanding of the topic.
Performance
Acting out: Students act out a story as a well to retell what they read or listened to, The teacher is able to assess the comprehension by watching the students retell the story.

Definition: Interim (Benchmarks) assessments are used to see the students' progress in their learning as well as to see if they are on track. These assessments help teachers see if a student will do well in future assessments. Less chance for feedback.
