Peer group influence on: Emotions. Individuals who do not have normal peer relations are affected in their later psychological development.
Peer group influence: social competence & conformity. Does being socially competent mean conforming? Social competence involves behavior informed by an understanding of others' feelings & intentions, the ability to respond appropriately, & knowledge of the consequences of one's actions.
