What is the use of the second conditional?
It describes a situation which is improbable or unreal.
It can be used to give advice, make offers, and talk about hypothetical situations.
Structure
Result clause: would + verb ( base form) Conditional clause: Simple past
Example:
If I had enough money, I would buy a yacht.
USING QUANTIFIERS
We use quantifiers when we want to give someone information about the number of something
Example
The kid is too tired, so he cannot play soccer anymore.
Is the kid very tired?
Yes
Does it stop him from playing soccer?
Yes
Does “too” mean more than he wants to be tired?
Yes
